The People's Eye Care Foundation organizes mobile medical units to provide services at community hospitals in remote areas throughout the country, as well as in countries with a shortage of specialized doctors or essential medical equipment. In some hospitals, while treatment is available, patients often face long waiting times due to limited hospital budgets and the overwhelming workload of staff, which can lead to delayed treatment and, in severe cases, permanent blindness. The Foundation conducts these mobile unit operations 12 times a year, free of charge, to ensure that patients receive timely care.
